Tours and Trails | Edinburgh Science Festival 2021
Posted: 24 June 2021 by Edinburgh Science
Take the chance to get out the house and explore the world around you with our programme of guided tours and self-led trails.
Join us as we celebrate amazing women who have passionately contributed to the world of STEM in our Women in STEM Street Art Trail – a series of street art pieces across the city showcasing nine remarkable women and their achievements. Try out AWEN – A Walk Encountering Nature, an experience that combines interactive art, sound, movement and play prompted by global climate data and science.
Learn about the different types of bird calls as you’re guided through a walk in the woods in The Wild World of Birdsong. Take a journey back in time during The Dead Interesting Science Tour as you walk along the pathways of Warriston Cemetery and hear the tales of its fascinating tenants and the trails they blazed during their time on Earth. The Wander of Science takes you on a guided walk around central Edinburgh, sharing the stories of the extraordinary scientists and world-changing science that came from the city.
Even if you’re not based in Edinburgh, you can still take part in some of our self-led trails! Our Colourful Parks can be done in any park and Sensory Seashore Scrapbook can be done anywhere on the coast.
